The ThingamaWHO’s Teen program which previously brought Alice and Wonderland JR and Pinkalicious the Musical to the stage as well helped us streamline the transition and curate the next generation from theatre student to working professional actors.

Thingamajig Theatre’s 2025 Summer Company included two local alumni from the ThingamaWHO program, Sophia Raymond and Hannah Rockensock, both of whom made a beautiful transition into the world of professional theater.

The 2019 ThingamaWHO Teen Program produced ‘Alice in Wonderland JR’

The structure of this program is built for busy teens who may have lots of conflicting schedules. The class will meet as a group on Sundays from 1-4 from September 7 – October 12. Plus, they will meet for individual or small group voice, dance or acting lessons based on the student’s individual schedule throughout the week.

Performances will be held for the public on Oct 19 & 26 and November 2 at 3pm.

Additional shows may be added… or the show schedule might change based on the enrolled student’s schedules, including a possible Halloween Night show. Show schedules and swing roles will be built in to accommodate all levels of scheduling. It is important to bring your personal schedules to the audition room, so that rehearsals, show schedules, and swing or understudy casting can be built according to availability of students. We will set the final schedule on the first day of class.

Space for the program is extremely limited.

The program will be taught by Thingamajig’s professional performers and educators.  The instructors for this program include Samantha Luck, (Visiting Professor of Musical Theatre at Ft Lewis College), Trevor Brown, (coming off another summer of performing with Thingamajig Theatre’s professional summer troupe), Thingamajig’s Educational Director Laura Moore, and as well as special sessions with Artistic Director Tim Moore.

Once registration is complete, students will perform an audition piece in order to assign them roles within the structure of the Beetlejuice JR musical.

NOTE: On casting within the class format from Educational Director Laura Moore: “We cast within our class how we want to educate.  We cast based on what the student is currently capable of, what tools the student currently has in their wheelhouse that need to be exercised, what skills we think the student could benefit from learning or exploring, as well as organizing the casting according to what would serve the student group as a whole. It is not a competition. It is an educational journey.”
