From the teen theatre program that brought you Beetlejuice JR…
The ThingamaWHO’s fall programing includes dance, vocal and acting lessons in the format of putting on a production of Beetlejuice JR The Musical. The program is open to teens 13-18 years old. (Special requests may be made to Laura Moore for 12- and 19-year-olds).
The ThingamaWHO’s Teen program which previously brought Beetlejuice JR, Alice and Wonderland JR, and Pinkalicious the Musical to the stage will be taught by Thingamajig’s professional performers and educators. The structure of this program is built for busy teens who may have lots of conflicting schedules. The class will meet on Sundays from 12-4 from August 30 – October 11.
Plus, the teens will meet for individual or small group voice, dance or acting lessons based on the student’s individual schedule throughout the week.
Shows will be presented for the public on Oct 18, 25, 29, 30, 31 and November 1. Additional shows may be added based on the students’ schedules. Show schedules and swing roles will be built in to accommodate all levels of scheduling. It is important to bring your personal schedules to the audition room, so that rehearsals, show schedules and swing casting can be built according to availability of students. Space for the program is limited. All teens who register will be assigned a part in the show after the audition day process.
The instructors for this program include Samantha Luck who is also a Faculty in the Musical Theatre Department at Fort Lewis College teaching musical theatre and voice and Thingamajig’s Educational Director and professional actress Laura Moore who has performed in numerous theatres across Colorado including The Arvada Center for the Performing Arts and Theatre Silco as well as performing, directing and running Thingamajig Theatre for 15 years with co-founder Tim Moore.
