A very bright star whose light burned out before her time, Patsy Cline’s name is synonymous with good country music. As a megastar in the 50’s, she struck up an unlikely friendship with a housewife. Louise fell in love with Patsy’s beautiful and rich voice and made a special trip to see her at a honky tonk in Texas. They reportedly shared an entire pot of coffee and started a friendship that would grow and last until Cline’s untimely death in 1963.

Always, Patsy Cline examines the inner workings of the star through the correspondence she shared with her confidant and best friend. Hundreds of letters passed between the two women, an unlikely pairing of a housewife and one of the most famous voices in the world. The true letters are brought to life in this beautiful story of friendship and growth, all woven through the haunting and gorgeous tunes that made Patsy so famous to begin with.

You’ll listen to songs you know and love “Crazy,” “Walkin’ After Midnight,” etc. as well as remind yourself of those lesser-known Cline hits. With 23 tunes in all, any Patsy fan is sure to hear their favorite crooned by an expert.
