Zikr Dance Ensemble unveils the company’s 2026 Spring Season with a Colorado-New-Mexico tour that includes a performance at the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts on April 18.

The company’s ambitious Spring 2026 Season program — “RUNES” — will showcase the company’s roots while exploring the power and transformative energies of some of history’s most iconic symbols and the light code language of the future through two of Artistic Director David Taylor’s most powerful works, “Runes” and “Light Codes” .

In addition, Zikr will reprise internationally acclaimed Belgian choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s stunning “In Memoriam” pas de deux, along with Tomm Ruud’s iconic miniature masterpiece, “Mobile”. The program will close with “In Your Eyes”, Zikr’s signature work and audience favorite.

Zikr will present the full-length “Runes” program in eight cities across Colorado and New Mexico, and will additionally provide outreach shows in select cities and masterclasses in Grand Junction, Rifle, and Taos, NM. The company will be also paying special tribute to Loren Wilder, the well-known Colorado lighting designer and producer who originally commissioned “In Your Eyes” and David Andrews, longtime Colorado dance supporter, photographer and videographer.
